By far the largest project we have every been tasked to carry out was the dismantling of two non-flying Concorde’s on behalf of British Airways. Then transporting by road and sea to two different museums, The National Museum of Scotland Edinburgh and Brooklands Museum Weybridge. Each aircraft was carefully dissembled and statically cut along the wings for the movement, which took over 14 weeks.
Once at the perspective museum our fully trained airframe engineers set to work re-joining the wings and refitting the removed components, such as the fin, flight controls, landing gears. The aircraft are now on display at these museums restored back to their former glory.

Since completing this project British Airways have again commissioned ASI to carry out many other projects. One, which involved the dismantling, and moving a VC10 and dismantling and moving a BAC1-11 both aircraft along with other were delivered to NMS and Brookland and rebuilt.
